Jieyu Zhu

Jieyu Zhu was born in Ningbo, China. She joined Bowie Lab when she was a second year student at McGill. Currently she is interested in the evolution and regulation of AMPA iGluRs, the role of fine regulatory mechanisms conferred by auxiliary subunits in animal cognition, with a focus on Transmembrane AMPAR regulatory proteins (TARP) and Germ Cell-Specific Gene 1-Like (GSG1L). Outside the lab, Jieyu can be found skating, baking, playing with her cat Whisky, and exploring Montreal.
